Recommendation for Travel passes

hello everyone, I’m a Tessiner Student living and studying in Zürich, for the first 3 years I had an AG travelcard and it was great, with the amount of times i was travelling to Tessin and back it felt like it was worth the price (+ mobility within Zürich).
This year tho was a different story, for school reasons I’m going less often to Tessin and I’m starting to think that the AG might not be worth it for me anymore, my question then is, what would you recommend for my situation to spend less?
the only 2 things I need are:

to have travel in Zürich covered basically all the time, for school and leisure.
and I’d need to go back to tessin roughly once a month for 1 weekend at a time.

What would you say is the best solution for my situation?
Still buy AG?
half fare + travel pass for Zürich?
only Travel pass for Zürich?

What about an AG Night for your travel to/from Ticino, and a ZVV travel card for your days when you are in Zurich? I meet a lot of Ticinesi students on the trains on FRI/SUN, travelling with the GA/AG night from/to Ticino.

Or a Half Fare Card for your travel to/from Ticino, in combination with Supersaver tickets? If you know someone else with a GA from Ticino, a GA Tandem Day Pass could also be an option (you must travel at the same time & on the same route).

If you are an ETH student, I think there are further offers, also perhaps with Uni Zurich? Did you already check with the student service?

I was aware of the AG night offer, but I know trains from Tessin tend to be pretty full during the valid times, and usually I like to travel in the morning.

I will look into Half fare card, and possibly contact student services to see if they have any offers.
