I want to take the train from Geneva to Oberalppass on May 11 with my bike.

I understand this train only operates in the summer.

Can you tell me if the train will be operating on May 11?

Do I need to take a special train with my bike?

Yes, this connection is operating on 11 May. See the timetable for the entire journey here: www.sbb.ch/en

Furthermore, when looking up the connection, go on Extended search, and check the option Carriage of bicycles required (Switzerland only); by doing so, you will exclude all services which do not allow bicycles on board. The transport of bicycles is subject to available bike spaces on board the trains. A bike ticket is not giving any guarantee of a free space, a reservation is not possible for IR and R trains.

Glacier Express is not accepting bicycles, you must take R trains. In addition to the ticket for yourself, you need a half fare (½) point-to-point ticket or bike day pass at CHF 14 for your bike: Bike Day Pass | SBB;
