Swiss travel pass or Half Fare card?

Hi, we are travelling to Weggis and Wengen in September for 6 nights (7 days) and need some help choosing which card would be best for us. We fly into Zurich and travel to Weggis. After three nights we move on to Wengen for 3 nights, then on to Geneva to fly out on day 7. We will be there for 6 days and will want to go on boat trips and up the Jungfrau, amongst other trips. Any help appreciated!

3 nights means, you will have two full days at each destination.

I would opt for the Swiss Half Fare Card and purchase individual tickets. The Swiss Half Fare Card allows you to stay flexible without spending a fortune on prepaid passes.

Check for half fare Saver Day Passes for the transfer from Weggis to Wengen, and for Wengen to Geneva. As the days of transfers are fixed, you can purchase them already now to benefit from the lowest fares possible.

Great!

By the way, you are visiting our country during the best season. In September, on sunny days, mountains do appear crystal clear as there is less humitidy in the air, and therefore offering better sights; in Swiss German we call it ‘picture postcard weather’, as it is the best time for landscape photographers.

Definitely don’t miss out a trip to Rigi mountain, it offers great views, the best in the area. Also, a cruise on Lake Lucerne on a paddle steamer is a must-do, and invites to unwind.
