We’re planning a day trip from Murren to Grindelwald/First on Friday August 9. We would be interested in doing the First Glider. And it looks like it’s worth to consider getting the Adventure Package as it includes the cableway up and down to First with 1 activity.

My concern is that Jungfrau.ch warns that people should go and do the activity early in the morning, or else it may not available even if you have a ticket when it’s busy - they may ask you to exchange for another activity. So is the chance not to be able to get on our activity high? How early we’ve to be there (since we’re commuting from Murren)? Is it really worth getting the Adventure Package if it’s going to be very busy?

After the First, how much time it worth to spend at Grindelwald town? Cause I wonder if we will have time to visit Lauterbrunnen on the way back.

Your question is related to activities doable in Grindelwald. On this platform, you will not find people having done these activities before. Thus, we cannot give you advice on that.

From the media (newspaper reports), I know that First is very busy during the summer, and if the Jungfrau.ch website (that is operated by the same management as the First glider) says so as well, you should follow their advice.

I suggest that you should post your question in the TripAdvisor Switzerland forum too, which is run by locals and other tourists do comment based on their experience.

In August, if you start early, you will have enough time as the daylight lasts until 9 P.M.
On the way back from Grindelwald, you could travel via Kleine Scheidegg and Wengen, to end up in Lauterbrunnen. Then cable way up to Grütschalp and back to Mürren.
