Hello, I am travelling with a bicycle for the first time. My bicycle is packed in a travel bag (with the length: 132.5cm, height: 97cm and width: 50cm ) where both wheels are detached. Questions: 1. Can i take this onto the train? 2. Can my bike travel for free? (I saw it is stated that 'transport bicycle in a carrier bag for free provided it fits completely into the bag with the front wheel removed and only the seat protruding.', but i am not sure if mine fits the criteria) 3. If i have a bike ticket and reservation, does that means i have a guaranteed space for my bike?

Holding a reservation (where feasible), there is a bike space reserved for you. However, there is never a 100% guarantee that a bike is transported on the desired train, an unforeseen change of rolling stock at the very last minute, and due to it the unavailability of bike spaces is always possible. If you can, transport it in a bag. You can leave it near to the platforms, yet must not block entry doors, emergency exists, or emergency equipment. Kind regards, Roland
