Use of Swiss Travel Pass to travel from Luzern to Milan Centrale

I will travel from Luzern (Switzerland) to Milan Centrale (Italy) for my further trip in Italy to Firenze Santa Maria Novella (Italy).

Grateful if I can be advised whether my Swiss Travel Pass will be effective for my train travel from Luzern (Switzerland) to Milan Centrale (Italy).

Besides, Should I reserve a seat in the train apart from having the Pass? If so, which part of the train travel would require a reservation before my visit?

Your Swiss Travel Pass is valid only to the border (Domodossola or Chiasso, depending on the route): The area of validity map – where your travelcard works | SBB

To travel to Milano Centrale you will need to buy a ticket from the border and check the legenda in the timetable to see if the seat reservation is compulsory (usually it is on EuroCity trains to Italy and it is included in the ticket price): The SBB timetable | SBB
