Need to get train ticket from Zermatt to Milan in August (Aug 18-19).

Tried several times in SBB site to get tickets from Zermatt to Domodossola. Somehow the purchase never goes thru.
Plan to get from Domodossola to Milan using Italia Train site.
Is there some problem going on while purchase point to point tickets from USA?
Would appreciate some help. Thanks.

What kind of problem do you have? If it doesn’t work on sbb.ch, you can also try to buy the tickets until Domodossola in the SBB Mobile App on your smartphone. If you want a point-to-point ticket, you can also buy it at the ticket office in Zermatt. It is only necessary to buy Supersaver tickets in advance.

In August the journey from Zermatt to Milano takes longer than usual, train replacement bus services from Iselle di Trasquera to Domodossla and EC-Bus Trenitalia Domodossola to Milano.

Plese check timetable, Zermatt departure at 6.37, to Brig - Iselle trasquera - Bus- Domdossola arriving at 9.10. When ok, you can buy a ticket for EC Busservice Domodossola to Milano departure 9.30.

Tickets for Zermatt - Domodossla you could buy at at MGB Travelcenter in Zermatt or online SBB.CH.

Thanks a lot Danhiel! Tried for 4-5 days in SBB website and never was able to use my credit card, while I am trying from USA now. Travel plan for August. Then used your advice and from the phone app I was able to buy the Zermatt to Domodossola ticket. From Zermatt to Domodossola, 6:13 pm - 8:10 PM.
Then used train Italia site to buy Bus Tickets: from Domodossola to Milan Central, EC bus that goes from 20:30 - 22:50 PM. Hopefully there won’t be any more surprise once we are traveling the day from Zermatt towards Milan Central.

Ckuefeatho92 I think that the train or replacement bus leaves Zermatt at 5:13 PM and not 6:13 PM. Check the timetable again the day of departure.
