Visp - Zermatt Interruption

Hello! Me and my girlfriend will be taking the train from Geneva, via Visp, to Zermatt on July 11th. We’ve noticed that a warning appeared about an interruption of services between Visp and Tasch - with buses replacing the trains.

According to this warning (https://www.matterhorngotthardbahn.ch/en/stories/timetable-rail-traffic-informations) the interruptions are only at night, and between Visp and Tasch. It has a timetable for buses between Tasch and Zermatt, that match the planned construction dates. However, it appears to be missing the timetable for buses between Visp and Tasch. Where can we consult this?

Since our train leaves Geneva in the morning and arrives at Zermatt a little bit in the afternoon, I would like to confirm that we will need to catch a replacement bus from Visp to Tasch. If we do need to catch a bus, will we need to purchase a new train ticket from Tasch to Zermatt?

If our train from Visp to Zermatt is interrupted, where can we confirm this information, and are we entitled to any refunds?

We will return on July 13th from Zermatt to Geneva Airport in the early morning, and SBB is also giving us an interruption warning for this train, will we also need to buy a NEW train ticket from Zermatt to Tasch, and then catch a replacement bus to Visp?

I’ll be very grateful to anyone who can clarify the situation.

I hope that no new flooding occurs in the next days, but it is unpredictable. If the road is open, you will catch replacement buses to Täsch. Check the timetables again the day of departure. You don’t need to buy new tickets.

If the railway line and the road were interrupted, you could obtain a refund of the tickets at every ticket office in Switzerland.

However, I still have a question regarding the trains and this interruption. According to our trains tickets, on our way back from Zermatt to Geneva, we are supposed to switch trains in Visp. We bought supersaver tickets, meaning our tickets are “locked” to specific trains.

What happens if we don’t catch our Visp train due to timings with the buses? Do we need to buy new tickets for the next train?

We will be catching a flight at 15h10 in Geneva Airport and our trip back was planned according to this.

Rvlopes Normally you can take the next available train without a new ticket when you miss a connection due to a delay, but you could take an earlier bus to arrive on time in Visp for the planed train to Geneva. I suggest to ask if it is possible at the ticket office in Zermatt. I think they are comprehensive in such situations.
