I understand that I should travel from Milan to Chaisso , and then Chiasso to Luzern . I have following queries : - Is Swiss full fare travel pass valid from Milan to Chaisso journey or I need to purchase tickets in advance for that journey? - There is train platform change required at Lugano ( i believe it is about 4 minutes walk), Is this 4 minutes time good enough to change the platforms conveniently with heavy luggage ?

You have to buy a ticket from Milan to Chaisso. With your STP you can travel in Switzerland.

Probably you have to change platform from track 3 to track 4. May be you have a look at Lugano Railway Station.

For most of the connections, Chiasso is not an official station to change trains according to the timetable; the RE80 trains coming from Italy continue into Switzerland.

I suggest you to consult the SBB timetable at www.sbb.ch/en, or download the SBB Mobile app, to see where SBB suggests to change trains.
