With a group ticket you do not get individual seat reservations. The railways will just reserve a section of a carriage, with a label that mentions the name of the group, and the number of people in it.
In the station there will be an announcement (and often also a display) saying “Group Reservations in sector …” and you just wait there, and when the train rolls in look for the label, which is usually just taped to a window.
