Swiss Pass Activation

Hello, if I am buying 4 SWISS Pass this week. 2 adults will start Swiss trip on August 15th and other 2 adults will start on August 16. Can each of these SWISS passes be activated separately (1 set on 15th and another set on 16th)? We are not sure whether the Swiss pass needs to be activated on the day of the trip start or can be activated on a later date?
Also, can we buy the Swiss Pass today but with a future date as Start date / activation dat?
please help advise.

For a start, you might want to reveal to us which product or pass you exactly mean, as there’s no “SWISS Pass”.
(By the way, SWISS in capital letters usually refers to the airline bearing that name)

Obviously, with whatever ticket or pass, it makes sense to use the first day you’re going to use its benefits as the first day of validity. So if you navigate to the webpage where you would buy the product in question for a particular person and there is some “first day of validity” field available, then obviously you’re able to set that date according to your travel plans. (Hint: Double-check that date before hitting any “Buy” button)

I am planning to purchase “Swiss Travel Pass 15 days” ticket.
We can purchase this today with a future date, correct?
Are these physical cards OR digit cards?
How are these activated?
Can few be activated on Day1 when family1 lands?
and few on Day2 when family 2 lands?

Alright, the Swiss Travel Pass (with Flex and Youth variants) is a product endorsed by the Switzerland Tourism association myswitzerland.com and just happens to be also sold by SBB (but also world-wide from tourism offices)

As the STP is only available for persons residing outside of Switzerland, you won’t find a lot of first-hand experience with it in this Community, which mainly consists local Swiss residents.

Myswitzerland.com do offer STP Help / FAQ pages here and here, which should cover most if not all of your questions. If not, on the second one you’ll find a chat feature at the bottom of the page (= different community from this one, probably myswitzerland.com sales staff)
