Disruption of Train Services in Zermatt Region Due to Recent Floods

I wanted to find out the situstion regarding the disruption to train services in the Zermatt region due to the floods a few weeks ago. We are schdeuled to travel from Zermatt to Bolzano on Aug 8th. When I look up the schedule, it still has following warning/information about service disruption:

Interrupted service between Visp and Täsch (train).
This is due to a natural hazard.
The duration of the restriction is not known.
Lines RE41 and RE42 are affected.
The line between Visp and Täsch is interrupted. This is due to weather damages. Replacement buses run between Visp and Täsch. Travelers should allow more time as bus capacities are lower than trains.

Is it likely that the situation would have improved by Aug 8th with full resumption of train services between Visp and Täsch?

No, the line will not reopen until mid-August. You should plan your trip with replacement buses.

Thanks for the clarification about the service disruption.

We have two train trips will both be affected by this.
Going in to Zermatt from Wengen on Aug 5th and departing Zermatt to Bolzanoo on Aug 8th.

Can you please elaborate about the bus arrangement?
Do we have to buy tickets for that separately or is that already included in the fare when we purchase train tickets at sbb.ch?

When I look at the schedule on sbb.ch, the duration of the journey appears to be the same as it was before the disruption happened. I am curious to know if enough buses are operating to ensure no delays in service on this segment?

Vijayan As Danhiel already stated above, the replacement bus timetables are only available/updated a couple of hours in advance on the day of travel. So don’t look at early August, look at today, right now Swiss time (CET), where you’ll see that the scheduled overall travel time of the “EV” replacement buses is just approx. 15 minutes longer than the regular, currently interrupted RE41/42 train services. Just add an extra ½ hour as a “safety margin” in case some unplanned mishap should occur (e.g. a full bus, so you’d be on the following one).

Official replacement buses are always included in the original train fare.
