Swiss Family Pass & Reserving Golden Pass Tickets

Hello, we are a family of 3 (2 adults, 1 Child 14 years). I bought 2x Swiss Half Fare Cards online (didn’t allow me to add my Child as Co-Traveler). In my profile, it is not allowing to add my Son as a Fellow Traveler, with the error, “The date of birth is outside the validity range for the product selected”.

My question: While trying to buy Golden Pass Tickets for July 28 (Interlaken OST -> Montreux), website is adding CHF 33 (“No Discount” Option chosen in “Discount Cards” Field) as Day-Pass for my Son. However, website is adding CHF 0 if I choose “Junior Travelcard” in Discount Card option, which I think can be obtained only at train station for CHF 30. As far as I understand, Children < 16 travel Free with Adult holding Swiss Travel Pass. Am I doing anything wrong here? Is there a way our son travels Free with us, or, we need to buy the Junior Travelcard for CHF 30?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Below is the screenshot of the error I am getting, while trying to add my Son as Passenger to buy the Swiss Half Fare Family card. I tried clearing cache in Edge and Firefox, still the same problem.

Children travel for free if you have the Family Card, which you should have gotten for free with your Half Fare Card. So if you did not manage to get that sorted out when you bought the HFC you will need to sort that out first at the station.

Regarding the Golden Pass: You do not need reservations for those trains, but you can get them if you feel like. When reserving just select “reservation only” for all travellers under reduction.
