Recommend the proper card

Hello, I am loooking for the ideal travel card for my mother.
I live in the Geneva and have a half fare card. My mother is visitng me soon and will stay with me 2.5 months. We are going to travel within Switzerland like Lucern, Iseltwald, Interlaken, etc. However, given my mother’s age over 80s, I guess we can travel slowly, short trips rather extensive trips.
I am consdering buying a Swiss travel pass flex (8 days 439 CHF) or a GA senior card (cost 275 CHF), then buying another one for next month in both cases. Do you think it is proper for my mother’s case? Or it is better buy a seperate ticket without any special card when we travel? Many thanks in advace.

The GA Travelcard for Seniors for 275.- monthly payment is not applicable in your case, as the minimum contract duration for this Senior GA is six months, not two. (There is also a separate “1-month GA Travelcard” available for 440.- though, without senior discount)

With the Swiss Travel Pass flex you have to consider that many museum-type entrance fees are included, such as e.g. Chillon Castle, everything in and around Gruyeres, or Ballenberg.

Depending on the number and length (read: ticket costs) of your planned trips, especially since you’re looking at shorter ones, two of the following could also make sense: Swiss Half Fare Card , which is a 1-month “tourist” version for 120.-, available only for foreign residents.
