Statement from SBB where to write

hi All. I have bought saving day passes for last Saturday. Unfortunately I had some stomach problems and could not get used the ticket at all (stayed at home) I dont want to ask for a refund from SBB but just that they issue statement I have never used a ticket as I can use my personal insurance in that case, . Where should I write? when I look on my sbb profile I can only issue the case for reimbursement which I do not want to do as I am not eligible…please support me with email address or guide me to the right form on the platform. thank you!

Such a statement cannot be issued because SBB does also not know whether you have traveled or not.

Only a medical certificate from a PD would serve for that purpose.

On some trains (or most buses and tramways), ticket controls have a “random check” nature, on some others it’s “best effort”. In other words, it’s not THAT uncommon to travel around Switzerland one day without having encountered one single ticket control!
Other public transport operators than SBB may have their own IT infrastructure with their own ticket check records (if also using some mobile ticket control device).
Some other operators (e.g cable cars) might only perform a visual ticket check, so no “ticket# nn-nnn-nnn succeessfully checked” record will be created anywhere.

Those are the reasons why the lack of any electronic “ticket checked” records for a particular ticket number is not a sufficient/credible proof that the ticket has not been used nevertheless on that day.
That’s quite different from e.g. airline travel, where a strict boarding pass check is always done at the gate, so the airlines get a credible passenger list for any particular flight.

about medical certificate - usually you do not go to doctore with stomach flu to the doctor or?…And isnurer asked if I can proove I have not taken the train as planned…

Frodiefra99 Be realistic, if the weather is bad, a lot of people would have stomach flu and ask for a refund of the day passes…

It’s true that it’s weird to charge health insurances for a medical consultation which will be more expensive as the day pass to refund.
