I am trying to call the SBB Contact Center to request a ticket refund. The number given is 0848 44 66 88. I am calling from the US, so I add +41 to the number. The response I get is - “I cannot complete the number as dialed.” I have tried calling with and without the 0, and other number combinations.
This is the first time I have bought train tickets through SBB for travel in Switzerland. I have had to cancel my trip because I caught covid the day before my departure. I bought a one-way, point to point ticket from Zermatt to Geneva. I received an email from SBB when I bought the ticket and have printed a paper copy that includes the Ticket ID number and the other essential details. However, there is no record of the ticket when I login to my Swiss Pass account. Since I am a first time user of SBB’s ticket procedures, I am a bit confused about how the system works. I believe that I bought the ticket directly through
SBB.ch and that may be why it does not show up in my Swiss Pass account. It looks like I can get a refund if I ask before my travel date. But my only option for making that request seems to be to call the SBB Contact Center which is not working for me.
