From 13 July 2024, turnstiles are in use to control the access to the platforms at Milano Centrale station. This measure was taken to increase security at the station by preventing access to the platforms for people without a valid travel ticket.
→ Therefore, passengers use their ticket to open the automated turnstiles.
Note:
Currently, Arcobaleno/Trenord transfrontaliera tickets purchased through the Arcobaleno/SBB channels are not correctly recognized by the automated turnstile readers.
Therefore, holders of these tickets must go to the staffed turnstiles; the staff will open the turnstile manually after checking the travel ticket. The staff is present daily from 7.00 am to 10.00 pm. Outside of this time window, access to the trains is via Gate B, which is always manned.
→ Allow more time to board the trains at Milano Centrale.
