Good that you found the reason… there should never be any price difference for exactly the same ticket between the website, the app, vending machines and SBB ticket sales counters.
Possibly not everything is synced between the app and the website. However when logged in, the following items should always get synced between them via your swisspass account:
- Purchased future, currently valid and recently expired tickets (= order history 1 year back on the website)
- Saved journeys
- Available payment methods including Half Fare Plus credit
