For your peace of mind: You can easily buy the pass upon arrival.
Your problem is that for “cardholder not present” transactions the SBB website requires a higher level of security than the institution that issued you CC offers.
However if you buy the pass in person at a ticket office you can still just sign a credit card slip, so that should work.
