How can I get the reimbursement on canceled ticket*bought in CH) from Milano to Lausanne
I got the worst ever situation in Milano.
Without any explanation in Milano, the train from Milano to Lausanne was canceled and it showed on the board 30min before the departure.
I waited for 40min at the Trenitalia counter, and they said I have to buy a new ticket, and no ticket change is possible.
1. How can I get reimbursement for the original ticket I bought in CH. Trenitalia said I can get reimbursement ONLY in CH.
I tried to search on the SBB website, but there’s only a delay section.
2. (maybe it’s no point to ask here, but just want to get some advice) Trenitalia did NOT apply the discount of my Swiss half fare card to the new ticket, is that normal? And I went back there to ask again because I couldn’t really understand it. it was right before the new departure. And they said it’s because I got the discount on my 15month baby seat, so I have to choose either the baby discount(?) or the half fare. and I complained if that’s really the case, then they changed the words. I have to refund the new ticket, pay the penalty and get the discount. I was speechless…..and I asked why another person who issued my ticket did NOT apply that, and they said they don’t know. so I had to pay for the most expensive ticket at the last minute (i bought the original ticket early ahead, but due to their issues, I had to buy the new one at the last minute), I even paid 62euros for my baby sit for 1st class (because there were no seats together at 2nd class). No reimbursement no explanations, nothing! is that normal? I went to the Trenitalia site, but couldn’t find the right complain and request reimbursement (for my half-fare discount )section. I had to wait 6 hours 15min with my 15month baby and 67yrs old mother.
Please advise, comment, and share your thoughts on how I can handle this.
