I was on the platform when the train arrived in Lugano, as I now know the train to Malpensa is the second section. The train stopped with NO Controller on the platform, the train stopped barely 2 min at one of the major train stops!!! I nearly missed the train with the rest of my family in the train an me and my 2 yo son outside with the doors locked already!!
It’s not the first time i notice a bad service on this train that is the main connection to one of the major airports in the area! Many have reported getting confused with the train divided in two sections… please improve this connection and it will benefit everyone!!!

Lollo78 This is common in Switzerland that trains are divided and only a part of the train continues. You should observe the displays to see where you should wait. The trains to Malpensa Airport from Lugano are suburban trains without any staff on board, you should not except a better executive service as other local trains.

Lollo78 in Switzerland train doors close automatically when they detect nobody is boarding anymore. But until the actual departure time you can still open them by pressing the door opening button, which should still be illuminated green.
2 minutes should be enough time to board, even for a large group. I personally like it that the railways try not to waste the time of the travelling public.
