Stuck in Interlaken

Ive bought saver day passes for myself and some guests for today. However we are stuck in Interlaken due to the storm. Can we get accommodation and be compensated? What’s the process for doing that?

If you can’t travel tonight, your ticket will be accepted tomorrow.
Hotel accommodation and compensation is not offered due to a line closure caused due to storm; the railways cannot be made liable for cancellations due to weather. This is a matter for your travel insurance.

It is clear that a hotel accommodation will not be refunded, according to the Art. 21d of the law « Bundesgesetz über die Personenbeförderung », but a compensation is due according to the Art. 21b. In your place, I would ask for a compensation:

From what I have read, SBB / BLS / STI had organised buses and even direct boat services on Lake Thun to get the people from Interlaken West to Thun. The latter I found very creative under these circumstances, Swiss made, simply. I wondered if the lake wasn’t too stormy for the boats.
