Name change on second ticket

Yesterday I booked my ticket for me & my wife and I received the seats too but when I pressed pay, it only issued tickets for me. I booked a second time clicking on my companion but again I have a ticket just for me. I feel the system should give me the chance to see what I am about to buy and also show my the reserved seats before I commit to the purchase.
How can I now get a refund for my second ticket or can it be transferred to my wife’s name?

You are not mentioning the ticket type and destination.

Before completing the purchase there is an overview where you can see what you are about to purchase and for whom.

A ticket cannot be transferred to another person. Unless it is a Saver offer, you can ask for a refund with a CHF 10 administration fee, yet before the ticket’s validity only:

Hi Roland, thanks for your advice. I bought a first class ticket ZH airport to Locarno. I followed your advice, see what’s happening but will not hold my breath. Thanks!
