valentinaferr Hello! I have to commute for work every day from Ebikon to Rotkreutz and sometimes Ebikon-Luzern, which fare do you recommend? Should I do a point to point fare or a zone fare? thank you
RolandP Hello valentinaferr For this routes, a Passepartout abonnement (subscription) for zones 10, 28, 38 is the only option you have. https://passepartout.ch/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Tarifzonen_reduziert_23_A4_print_ohne_EZ.pdf Point-to-point abonnements or Modul abonnements are only sold, if the start/end destinations are not within the same fare network. Kind regards, Roland
valentinaferr RolandP Thank you so much! Do you think a half fare card is of any use in this case? I will check out the solution you proposed!
RedBaron valentinaferr … to be exact: Should your cumulated ticket costs for trips outside those 3 Passepartout zones exceed approx. CHF 400.- per year (using full fare prices), then the half fare card will be worth it.
Krist The Half Fare Card will not give you a reduction on the Passepartout abbonement. But if you plan to travel to other places in Switzerland it may be worth getting it. Depends on how long you are staying, and how much other travel you are planning.
RolandP Hello @valentinaferr I second @Krist ’s advice. If you are a resident, a Half Fare Card is worth even if you do a few side trips by public transport only. Full fare tickets do sum up quickly. Kind regards, Roland
