unreasonable fines

Hello, I travelled from Germany to Switzerland by train yesterday morning. I searched on DB and it said that I could use the German monthly train pass to travel to Switzerland. But I was fined by the ticket checker on the S9 line. I asked the staff on the platform in schaffhausen if I could use my monthly pass for the S9 and the answer I got was yes. Every time Germany go to rheinfall from the German side, they take the s9 without problems. But yesterday i took s9 to rheinfall and i crossed the station, i checked that maybe I can go to zurich and take train go back to rheinfall. but the ticket inspector said that the German monthly pass is only valid up to lottstetten. so i was fined for travelling from schaffhausen to zurich. I have always obeyed the law by buying a ticket and travelling on the train, I have not evaded my ticket. I already paid the fine on site yesterday, because I will go back to China can’t receive the fine if it delivered to my home but I would like to ask if the fine can be reduced or less. I was a student and I didn’t have any money, it was my first time in Switzerland and I wasn’t trying to get out of the ticket. I asked the staff if I could use the German ticket for the S9 and I took it.

max0607 I called the number on the fine but he said he can’t help me because I already paid. why do this to me，it is your staff said I can take S9 to Rheinfall but just miss the station.
