Can I use Saver Day pass in Montreux-Zermatt journey on 29th October?

Hi,
We will be travelling in Switzerland in last week of October. We are planning a day trip to Zermatt from Montreux on 29th October,2024. Can we simply buy a saver day pass of 29th October & use it to take trains from Montreux to Zermatt via Visp?
We also observe that upto October 13, the plan from Montreux to Zermatt is showing one change at Visp. However, after 13th Oct, it is showing 2 changes.First is a train journey (IR 90) from Montreux to Visp. From Visp, it is showing a Bus (EV2) upto Tasch & from Tasch there is another train (R 40) to Zermatt. Why is there a change of plan from 14th Oct? If I buy a saver day pass, will this be applicable in Visp-Tasch route on the bus?
Also, advance bookings are not available for this plan after 14th October in SBB app.
We are confused. What do we do?

The line has been severely damaged this year after heavy rains, followed by floodings and mudslides. While it was closed for weeks, it has been reopened, but further construction works will have to be done starting from 14 October 2024. Trains will be replaced by buses.

Note: the ticketing system has not been correctly set up yet. I have notified SBB about it (POSP CS009200844 / CS009171410).

A saver day pass is good for all public transport in Switzerland. So yes, you can use that to go to Zermatt. In fact this is a very good use of such a pass.

If a train gets replaced by a bus (which can be for all kinds of reasons, usually maintenance) then of course whatever ticket or pass is valid for that train is also accepted on the bus.
