Adding the Swiss Travel Pass to the SBB Mobile app, how?

I have an swiss pass as an e- pass. How do I add it to the sbb app?

Your ticket is correctly named Swiss Travel Pass. Do not use the term SwissPass as this is a product for residents, and you might confuse others when using the wrong term.

Adding the Swiss Travel Pass to the app after purchase is not possible. You could only add it if it was purchased as a registered user. Is this the case, simply use the same username and password for the SBB Mobile app authentication as you have used to purchase the pass.

Hi Roland, Thanks again for your very prompt response. So, while travelling in Switzerland, I will have a printed copy of the e-pass. But how do I buy tickets for e.g. Mount Pilatus using the sbb mobile app? Obviously, I wish to avail of the discount!

When buying tickets using the SBB app you can indicate you have a discount. You do not need to have the pass loaded in the app for that.
You can also buy tickets for multiple persons on one app, and indicated for each person if they have the reduction or not.
A discount pass, and a ticket are not linked during purchase. It is only when travelling that the conductor will want to see your ticket, and if they see it is a discounted ticket they will want to see the pass that entitles you to the discount.

Note however that there are a few lines where the STP reduction is only 25%. In that case you have to go to the ticket office. Even if you have the STP loaded in the app…
