Grildinna87 Possibly. If it is a cancellable ticket, you can cancel it and buy a new one, provided the train you want is not fully booked.
If it is a non-cancellable saver ticket, the only option is to let it expire and buy a new one anyway.

Depends on the ticket. If it is cancelable it is probably a “Flexpreis” ticket. Such a ticket is good for all train on the route, so you are free to leave on an earlier train.
