Why is it that bikes are singled out for the extra fee?

Seriously, can we just admit the system’s broken??

I pay for the extra 50% for carrying my bike in a train. Meanwhile, others are rolling up with more luggage than a cross-continental flight, and they get a free pass. Seems fair, right?

Maybe I should start fitting my bike with wheels on all four sides and calling it ‘carry-on baggage’ just to blend in. I mean, if we’re charging by volume, then I’m seriously getting shortchanged here! 😤

Are you trying to imply that one piece of luggage takes more space than one bike and this is why bikes need to pay extra?

I‘d say 1 bike = approx. 4 pieces of luggage.

If you can fold your bike so that it is about the size of a suitcase you can take it with you without paying. I commuted like that for a long time.
