We have a booking for IR2519, ICE275 trains for journey from Lausanne to Interlaken West. While booking the tickets, it didn’t ask for reserving the seat. Is the reservation mandatory and when to be done. What if we couldn’t get opportunity to reserve the seat. How do we travel in that case. Thanks in advance for your help…..

Reservations are not obligatory. For the trains you mention (IR2519, ICE275), it is not possible to make a reservation. I recommend that you do not get on the middle of the train, the coaches are often full.
