Expired tickets

At SBB, order date Mon, 05/08/2024, I bought several tickets for my daughter and me for bus and train travel in Switzerland and Italy. I never received any comments with each purchase.
15/09/2024 - Milan 09:10 to Airolo, EC 316, IR 46 2422, Airolo 11:57. Ticket ok at SBB.
Ticket control after departure Bellinzona,
IR 46, the tickets for Airolo stazione were not valid - they had expired. The friendly conductor helped us with new tickets, chf 41.60 for 2. - full price.

I don’t understand why your tickets were expired. Did you had Supersaver Tickets and you were not in the selected train or did you buy tickets for a false day?

We had full price tickets and were on the correct train according to the tickets we had bought!

Hi, I will try to explane again.
I bought tickets at SBB to go from Milano to Airolo. This required a train change in Bellizona to go to Airolo. The ticket I bought was from Milano to Airolo (without any notifications at purshase). On the second train the ticket conductor said our ticket was not valid due to time expiration, and he added that this was a know issue.

The problem here is that I bought tickets for Milano-Airolo and than had to buy new ticket half way there (41.60€!). I want to get this amount back. Thank you.

Shepoigue98 It is no more necessary to post the picture, I understand your problem. Such tickets are valid only for four hours. If you bought this ticket too early, it expired before your arrival in Airolo.

But it is not possible to get any refund in this community. You can only try to contact the customer service as I indicated in an earlier post, wihout any garantee because the conductor didn’t make an error.

You bought the ticket separately instead of together for the entire route. You have now received an Arcobaleno ticket with a validity of 4 hours. You are not entitled to a refund.

Ein_Albaner It was probably an Arcobaleno ticket for the entire route, Airolo is in Tessin.
