Bonjour!

We have a Golden Pass train scheduled to depart Montreux at 7:30am tomorrow (Sept 27) heading to Interlaken OST, and are planning to be at the train station no later than 6:30am to see how we can arrange luggage needs.

We have a total of four luggages and two carry on bags with us and it is difficult to move around too much all the time with so much. Fortunately, and unfortunately, we are visiting Switzerland for over a month and could not resort to light traveling.

We would like to have 4 out of the six pieces checked in at the station, them delivered to our hotel in Lauterbrunnen on September 30. This means we would be without our four pieces from September 27-30.

Given that we will need to catch our train to Interlaken OST very early in the morning, what would be the best way to mange this? All of our luggage combined is very uncomfortable and will be impossible to store on train.

Unfortunately, you are too late with your question as the ticket & baggage offices at Montreux station will not be open before 8:00 a.m. and there is no other resolution to it.

There is nothing else you can do than taking all the luggage with you. The Golden Pass Express indeed informs on their website that the luggage storage is limited on board of their trains. However, as I said, there is no solution to your baggage problem; you have to take all bags with you on the train. You might be lucky and the train is not fully booked in the early morning as the high travel season is coming to an end and the weather will be rather mixed.
