Issue trying to book sleeper train

Hi there, my family and I are travelling from Australia and have tried booking a sleeper train from Amsterdam to Basel on 7th January 2025.
We found the ideal train, departing at 20:35 and arriving in Basel at 06:30, entered our contact details, went to purchase and an error message came up. I am stuck. Would anyone be able to assist me please?

A timetable change occurs in December and it is currently not possible to buy tickets. You should try later, usually mid October.

Thanks again Danhiel, we succeeded in booking the tickets.
Now onto seat reservations - we have also booked tickets from Basel to Tirano in January 2025.
We understand that we also need to reserve seats.
We have tried to reserve seats in the mobile app and received an error message saying “Unfortunately we cannot offer you a reservation for this connection.”
Would you know the reason for this and if we need to reserve seats at some point closer to the date and if so, when?

You need reservations only if you want to travel in the panoramic cars of a Bernina Express train from Chur to Tirano. In the three first cars or on other local trains no reservations are required.
