Visp to Zermatt with Saver Day Pass

Hi, I have just purchased a Saver Day Pass at 52CHF from the SBB app (route meant for Zurich to Visp). I am traveling to Zermatt from Visp on the same day. Does that mean I do not need to purchase another ticket from Visp to Zermatt as the Saver Day Pass allows me to take unlimited rides and this should include traveling to Zermatt from Visp? I do not have a Swiss Pass or Swiss Half Pass.

Yes, it does mean that.
Have you had a look at the validity map for Saver Day Passes? There you can see that the route from Visp to Zermatt is covered as well (you might have to zoom the map to see the route).

Depending on the number and type of mountain excursions you plan, a Swiss Half Fare Card is a very good investment. Provided you are going to spend an amount of CHF 240 per person on public transport tickets & mountain excursion tickets, you are break even.
