Hello. I have seat reservations on the Bernina Express tomorrow. Are those good for any Bernina Express Train I wish to take? Or are they for a specific time only? Thank you.

Seat reservations are always for a specific service departing at a specific time. Anywhere on this planet, regardless of the means of transportation.

Do you have a ticket or a reservations? Or both?

You must have at least a ticket covering the route, and to sit in the panorama cars you also need a reservation.

I only have the reservations at this time. Was going to book the ticket today. However, when I look at the SBB app that also the receipt I got from purchasing the seat reservations, neither one of them tells the time of the train.

The reservation should show the train (otherwise how are you to know what the reservation is for). Regarding the ticket: If you trip starts somewhere else than Chur buy a ticket from your actual origin. You do not need to split tickets here.

Thank you very much Krist. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this! People where we are staying just suggesting something similar. We’re staying about 15 minutes from the Filisur station. They recommend that I book a round trip ticket from Filisur to Tirano. When we get to St Moritz, get off of the train we are on and get on the BE, using our purchase the seat reservations.

The train from Filisur leaves at 8:01 and arrives in St Moritz at 9:01. My BE train leaves at 9:17. Does that sound about right?

You can assume that what the SBB trip planner says is correct. Just use www.sbb.ch and plan Filisur to Tirano via st. Moritz, and you will get times and prices.
