Inquiry for intermediate stops

Good morning,

I would like to raise a question.
If I want to travel from Genève to Neuchâtel, and I choose a ticket with an intermediate stop in Lausanne, could I stop in Lausanne to explore the city and then take another train from Lausanne to Neuchâtel?

That is, on tickets purchased with intermediate stops, can I stop at that stop, and at another time of the day retake a train from that stop to the paid destination?

Point-to-point tickets and Saver Day Passes which you usually get for such longer distances (= not within the same regional fare network) are valid all day on any train on that route and allow as many intermediate stops you like. Just stay away from supersaver tickets, which are the only tickets tied to specific trains.
There’s also no need to buy separate tickets for the separate legs. Simply select any Geneve - Neuchatel itinerary via Lausanne (using the via field) and stick to the offered point-to-point or saver day pass ticket options.
Note that local buses are not included in a point-to-point ticket (unless getting city-ticket upgrades for the departure and destination cities), while they are included with a saver day pass.
