Inquiry regarding 1st class ticket from Zurich to Chur

Dear SBB community,

I have booked a 1st class ticket from Zurich to Chur through the SBB Mobile app. However, I noticed that my ticket does not indicate a specific seat number. I would like to confirm if this means my seat is not reserved, or if I need to take any further action to secure a numbered seat in 1st class.

I would appreciate your guidance on this matter.

Swiss train tickets for regular services never include a seat reservation. You simply get on board and find yourself a free seat.

Have you already seen our blog post on seat reservations? May I suggest reading it for a better understanding of how seat reservations work?

Also I have one more question about luggages.
So I have planned a trip to Switzerland and will be using SBB trains as well as the Bernina Express. I’ve booked 1st class tickets for both of them and will be traveling with two suitcases (one large and one medium). Will I be able to bring both suitcases on board the trains and the Bernina Express? Are there specific luggage storage areas or any restrictions I should be aware of?
