Is the usage scope of Saver Day Pass and Swiss Travel Pass the same? Is their difference only in duration? Is there any other difference?

We want to travel to Jungfrau, so the Day Saver Pass can be used as a Swiss Travel Pass, right?

No, Saver Day Passes may have another validity area as the Swiss Travel Pass.

With a Saver Day Pass, you have no reduction to the Jungfraujoch from Wengen/Grindelwald, unless you have also a Half Fare Travelcard.

With a Swiss Travel Pass, you have 25% reduction to the Jungfraujoch.

Swiss Travel Passes (STP) are only for non-residents and are valid for several days.

Half Fare Cards (HFC) alone are not valid for transportation, you need to buy a ticket with a reduction of 50%.

Saver Day Passes (SDP) are available for everyone, you don’t need a Half Fare Card, but, if you have this card, the price is lower.

STP and SDA are valid for the Rigi.

STP and SDA are valid only to Grindelwald or Wengen. You need a ticket from these stations to the Jungfraujoch.

For the Jungfraujoch, you have following reductions:

SDP without HFC: no reduction
HFC: 50% reduction
STP: 25% reduction
