In addition to what Roland already wrote above:
The sole fact that you have a Supersaver ticket for your specific connection is a strong indication that this train will not be busy. Suversaver Tickets are NEVER offered on those connections which are notoriously full, e.g. during commuter peak times (= where reservations could make sense at all).
Also note that the IC2 ends in Lugano, so you’ll have to change trains there. If Chiasso is your destination, that would be a RE or S Train (RE80 or S10), where reservations are not possible anyway.
