Yes, you can purchase the resident’s Half Fare card. Keep in mind that you have to provide a Swiss address in order to receive the red SwissPass plastic card; it is not delivered to Ireland.
I suggest to you purchase the Half Fare Card on-site at a travel centre and not online. You will still be able to use it instantly.
I have been to Ireland a countless time; I know, politeness and friendliness is absolutely key there. So is it in our country; it is considered polite to greet before asking a question. If you don’t, you might be seen as a rude person, what you aren’t, I guess 🙂
