Change in Routes

I purchased tickets for an overnight train (Basel to Amsterdam) several months ago. Now, it looks like the train route and schedule have changed. 1. how do I confirm the changes and 2. if the train is going from Basel to Zurich to Amsterdam, can I just get on in Zurich?

Should the night train indeed run Basel to Amsterdam via Zurich HB than in the opposite direction (we cannot follow your statement as you do not mention any travrl dates), I suggest to inform SBB about your wish to change the departure station.

Our tickets are for NJ402, which at the time of purchase departed from Basel SBB on 6.12.24 at 23:13. It looks like that (NJ 402) train now departs from Zurich at 21:53 and will not stop in Basel.

Instead of taking a train from Zurich to Basel, only to get back on the train from Basel to Zurich for the NJ departure, we think it makes more sense to stay in Zurich and get on there.

We just want to be sure we can get on in Zurich, since that is the new departure point.

The NJ normally runs Zurich - Basel - Amsterdam. AFAIK tickets for Zurich - Amsterdam and Basel - Amsterdam are sold at the same price. If they rerouted the train I would expect that passengers with Basel - Amsterdam tickets are permitted to in stead take any train to Zurich to board the train there.
