Refund ticket from Italy

I just bought a ticket from Italy to Basel, but I would like to cancel it and get a refund. I purchased it on sbb.ch but it’s not showing up in my account and cannot start the procedure online. I tried calling the Customer Center, but nobody is picking up. Could you please advise?

We are a customer help page run by volunteers. This is not the SBB customer service.

International tickets must be cancelled in person at an SBB Travel Center or by calling SBB, from abroad: +41 51 225 78 56 (24/7, waiting times are possible). Our advice is to call outside the office hours.

Thank you very much. However I have tried to call both this number and the 848 number several times but I keep getting disconnected when moving from the answering machine to a person.

Can the ticket be changed at an Italian train office? The journey starts in Italy and ends in Switzerland

The international number should work.

You might try rebooking when entering your e-mail address and PNR at trenitalia.com.

However, as soon as you start amending your ticket through Trenitialia, SBB cannot help you any longer, for example a refund through SBB is not possible anymore.
