Since it happened on an international train to Milan, you should also file a lost property report with Trenitalia.
Please kindly note, we are not the SBB customer service yet a customer support page run by volunteers. If the item was indeed found by SBB staff and handed over to the SBB Lost & Found services, from our experience, it may take up to three weeks to have news from SBB due to the great number of lost items found every day. Thus, it requires patience.
