WeslleyCosta I bought tickets from Paris to Bern in first class and there is a train change in Basel. The ticket in the extension has no information about the coach and seats. How will I know which coach and seats? Thank you.
RolandP Hello WeslleyCosta Swiss trains use the free seating approach. You get on board the trains, find yourself an available seat, and have a ride. https://community.sbb.ch/blog/23887-demystifying-seat-reservations-on-swiss-trains-a-comprehensive-guide Kind regards, Roland
WeslleyCosta RolandP Thanks for your reply! And about the coach. How i know to choose first class or second class from Basel to Bern or doens’t exist any separation?Thank you.
RolandP Hello WeslleyCosta To know this, does not need rocket science. First class coaches have a big 1 on the entry door, and a yellow strip above the door. Second class coaches have a big 2 on the entry door. © Noah Wyler Kind regards, Roland
Krist The use of a yellow strip and a big nr. 1 to indicate 1st class is pretty common all over Europe. So it is good to be aware of this.
