I have a saver day pass but am traveling to Salzburg. Do I need another reservation or ticket?

You will need a ticket from the border station to Salzburg. Getting a reservation is a good idea as well
Easiest is to just book on either SBB oir ÖBB and indicate that you have the “GA” reduction. That way the Swiss part will be zero rated.

To use a Saver Day Pass and to indicate the GA travel card is not allowed for international travels.

Using the Saver Day Pass, one has to book two tickets:

Starting point to Buchs SG
Buchs SG to Salzburg

The seat reservation can be purchased for the whole trip, however.

With the Saver Day Pass you do not need to book anything for trips within Switzerland.

If you are coming from st. Moritz there is actually a better route for you to take: Take the train to Scuol, and there continue by bus to Landeck. You will find that schedule on www.sbb.ch
The bus till Landeck is covered.

In that case all you need is a ticket Landeck-Zams to Salzburg.
