According to the ZVV Zone Map you’d need tickets or a travelcard for the zones 111 and 110, which makes 3 zones as the big Zurich zone 110 counts as two zones.

The personal monthly one for 3 zones is 128.- (it might have been 89.- some 30 years ago… you might want to challenge your source for that figure).
A single 24h return ticket would be 14.- full fare (without half fare travelcard).
