Hello,

will be traveling from Geneva to Zermatt April 15 and returning to Geneva on the 17th. I would like to travel first class. I am a bit confused at my options. Will be flying in the day of travel so i really want the flexibility of being able to cancel or modify my schedule. With the Saver pass and ticket it seems like they are non-refundable. is the 3 day travel pass the best way to go both economically and flexibility?

If you want full flexibility, I suggest buying two single journey point-to-point tickets at normal fare, valid for any train on the day of travel. They are fully refundable until one day before departure. The cost is CHF 172 per ticket, one way.

If you want to economise your trip, you could buy the Saver Day Pass. It is, as you correctly said, not refundable.

I suggest buying the ticket using the SBB Mobile app. It proposes the best ticket depending on the parameters defined by you when looking up for the connection.

With the Point-to-Point Ticket, you have full flexibility on the day of travel. You and are not tied to a specific connection.

Supersaver tickets can only be purchased for specific connections. It is neither exchangeable nor refundable. The Saver Day Pass is simply valid for the booked day. You can also take any connection on this day. However, you cannot refund the pass if the travel dates change.

With the Swiss Travel Pass for three days you are also flexible. The Swiss Travel Pass gives you unlimited travel by train, bus and boat, as well as many other advantages. Because the price difference between a normal Point-to-Point ticket (return) and a Swiss Travel Pass Flex in 1st class is not very high, you can consider booking this offer. If you use Supersaver Tickets or Supersaver Day Passes, the Swiss Travel Pass is not particularly worth it. I wish you a nice day.
