Hello Hearroita34
I’m not travelling until June - so I’m getting myself familiar with the system early rather than waiting until the last minute.
That’s what I call a perfect trip preparation. And, if something is unclear, do not hesitate to ask us on this page, that’s the purpose of the SBB Communtity, to get help from public transit experts.
1: I don’t believe it is possible to see any reservation made on one of the panoramic trains within the SBB App so we will need to carry it with us (paper or on phone).
Your assumption is correct. When reservations are made with the train operator, they are not displayed in the SBB Mobile app. They are independent travel offers.
More information about reservations needed? See our blog post:

It doesn’t seem possible to purchase either the Swiss Half Fare Card or Swiss Travel pass on the App - but is is possible to do so on the web - so I’m guessing that if you make the web purchase whilst being logged in to your account, the pass will then appear in the App??
That’s correct.
You cannot purchase multiple day passes or the Swiss Half Fare Card in the app. To keep the app simple and easy-to-use, it is designed for quick purchasees on the go such as point-to-point tickets and day passes.
You can purchase the Swiss Travel Pass or Swiss Half Fare Card through the website while being logged-in. By doing so, the pass will later appear in the app. If you purchase the Swiss Half Fare Card, you still have to set the discount type to Half Fare in the app. How this is done I explained in another reply:

Also, if you travel with children under 16 years of age, do not forget to request the complimentary Swiss Family Card while purchasinf the Swiss Half Fare Card.
Do may explanations make sense? Let me know if we can further assist.
Best wishes,
Roland
