GA travelcard for youth/for 25 year olds

Hello, I will be doing a 6-month internship in Switzerland and considering getting a travelcard. At the start of the internship (1st of February), I will be 24, so I can get the youth travelcard. However, I turn 25 at the beginning of April, so I wonder if I can get the 25-year-old travelcard or if I must get the adult card automatically.
Also, do you think it is better to wait until I get my residency permit to buy the travelcard, or should I get it before I arrive in Switzerland?

You have two options.

You can pay for the GA Travelcard annually. You pay for a whole year, but can cancel after 6 months (cancellation period 1 month). You will be refunded the remaining amount after cancellation.
You can pay for the GA Travelcard on a monthly basis. Here the amount is automatically adjusted as soon as you turn 25.

Don’t forget that the GA Travelcard is automatically renewed, so it’s best to cancel it for the desired date immediately after purchase.
