if you haven’t purchased the Swiss Travel Pass as a registered user (user account), you cannot view the Swiss Travel Pass in the SBB Mobile app. Simply show the QR out of your PDF together with your physical passport.

Will the QR codes in email be sufficient as tickets?
Yes, provided it can be scanned by the ticket inspector. Simply store the full PDF on your smartphone or print a hardcopy.

No, not if you purchased them as a guest.
Do I understand correctly that I can use this pass in lieu of most train, bus and boat tickets and do not need to purchase anything else when travelling on the SBB?

The Swiss Travel Pass is for tourists. The Swiss Pass is for residents. If you register for an account, you should choose ‘No customer number’ instead of ‘SwissPass’.
